What is SUPER Emerging Scholars ?

On the week of June 24-30, 16 students from a number of rural schools in Alabama will gather on Auburn’s campus to participate in the SUPER Emerging Scholars (SES) Program. The SES program is part of the Alabama Humanities Foundation’s mission to educate the public through the humanities and the liberal arts. The week-long program encourages students to see their own cultural value within society by studying literature, history, and the arts. The students will participate in projects that will challenge them to think critically about civic/educational issues, how to communicate better through writing, and what education means to them and the community. The theme of the week is Education for the 21st Century.
