Laura Elmer graduated from Auburn in 2010 with a BA in English and is in the midst of finishing her MA in English at Auburn. In graduate school, she was a Defoe Research Fellow, taught freshman writing courses and worked in Office of University Writing.
A teacher once told Laura that she would be the same person in 5 years except for the books she read, people she met and places she went, which became part of her mantra as a student and educator. For Laura, whether she is a teacher or student, education is about growing as a person.
